The House of Delegates Budget Committee has recommended inclusion of the funding for the three Virginia Tech Soil Scientists in the state budget.

There must be matching support from the Senate for this provision to be included in the final budget.

If you are in support of the return of this funding, you may wish to contact your State Senator and urge them to support the funding amendment for these scientists and communicate the value you place the Virginia Tech Soil Consultants.  Your Senator may then contact members on the Senate Budget Committee to support the program—their support is critical.  The joint budget is on a very short time line.
